Call For 1st Cohort

Kinnaird Business Incubation Center is the 1st Women Business Incubation Center of its kind that is exclusively for women and aims to support women to set up their businesses, enhance their entrepreneurship skills and overcome the challenges they are facing in the market. A grant of 35.5 million was won for the establishment and operations of Kinnaird Business Incubation Center by the Office of Research Innovation & Commercialization, of Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore. Kinnaird Business Incubation Centre (KBIC) is committed to facilitating its students with the conversion of its research outputs into commercial ventures.  KBIC is committed to edifying knowledge and is passionately ready to transform young women into future entrepreneurs, who can have a real impact on the world. The selection process of 1st Cohort of Kinnaird Business Incubation Center was comprised of different phases. In the first phase, an announcement was made regarding Call for 1st Cohort on the website of Kinnaird College for Women. In response to the call for applications for the 1st cohort of KBIC, a huge number of applications were received, out of which 46 were shortlisted after desk evaluation

Pitching Competition for the 1st Cohort (19th January 2023)

Pitching Competition is organized to select the first batch of Incubates for the Kinnaird Business Incubation Center. As per HEC guidelines, we must exercise extreme caution in inducting the right incubates based on its established criteria.  In response to the call for applications for the 1st cohort of BIC, we have received a huge number of applications, out of which 46 were shortlisted after desk evaluation. The next step was the presentation of each proposed Business Model (3 min Presentation followed by 3 min Q&A session) in front of Jury members comprised of Industrial experts, Academic experts, HEC Representative, and BIC Team. After desk evaluation, 46 applicants were called for the demonstration in the following areas:

Launches 1st Cohort of 17 STARTUPS

Total of 17 Business startups (10 Virtual and 7 Physical) were selected for the 1st Cohort of Kinnaird Business Incubation Center and a contract signing ceremony was conducted. The Contract Signing Ceremony was held on 30th March 2023 at the Board Room of Kinnaird Business Incubation Center. Selected Startups were called for signing their contracts with Kinnaird College for Women. The parties that were involved in the contract signing were the worthy Principal of Kinnaird College for Women, KBIC Team Prof Dr. Ghazala Yaqub, Ms. Meashall Usman, and incubates.
