Bristol Community College hosted the APEX (American Pakistan Educational Exchange) program that brought students and faculty from Kinnaird College for Women (KCW), Lahore – Pakistan to the college, from Oct. 21 to 25, 2023, for an immersive experience of enhancing cross-cultural exchange. APEX is funded by the Alumni TIES grant, a US Dept. Of State program. While at Bristol Community College, the students from Kinnaird College participated in academic courses, attended the Women and the World Teach-In and teamed up with Bristol’s students for collaborative project presentations on mental health and women. The group also enjoyed visits to enriching institutions such as Harvard University, Brown University and New York City’s Museum Mile. The program was a collaboration between Bristol Community College, Kinnaird College and Sauk Valley Community College, in Dixon, Illinois.

Deputy Commissioner Lahore, Ms. Rafia Haider admired this initiative and efforts of the Higher Education Commission Pakistan regarding the establishment of Business Incubation Centers (BIC) in HEIs of Pakistan. She added that Higher Education Commission   has taken such a great initiative to foster the entrepreneurial spirit among students to start their startups and create jobs that might help later to boost the economy of Pakistan.

Vice chancellor Fatima Jinnah university Rawalpindi Dr Saima Hamid visited business incubation Centre at Kinnaird collage Lahore. During her visit she admired the efforts of principal Kinnaird collage Dr Rukhsana David, head research operations Dr Ghazala Yaqub and her team regarding to business incubation Centre.

Abbottabad, Pakistan, visited Kinnaird Business Incubation Centre at Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore. The focal Person of KBIC Dr Ghazala Yaqub, and the Dean of Sciences Dr. Irum Anjum welcomed him to Kinnaird Business Incubation Center Lahore. During his visit, he admired the efforts of the KBIC Team and also expressed gratitude toward the initiative of HEC with the collaboration of HEI to establish a platform for young women entrepreneurs.

President Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Lahore (WCCI), Ms. Falahat Imran visited the Kinnaird Business Incubation Center at Kinnaird collage for women Lahore Pakistan . She has interacted with startups and shared the different concerns about the industry and challenges of the industry with the entrepreneurs.
