A workshop on Machine Learning Applications, organized by the Department of Accounting and Finance in collaboration with Kinnaird ORIC and Business Incubation Center at Kinnaird College on 6th March 2024.

US Consulate General, Ms. Kristin K. Hawkins, along with her team visited Kinnaird Business Incubation Center at Kinnaird College for Women Lahore on 9th March 2024. A meeting was conducted for Ms. Kristin Hawkins with Kinnaird Principal, Vice Principal and Team ORIC & KBIC as well as OAKS (Old Association of Kinnaird) members. During meeting, she was briefed about the achievements and activities of Kinnaird Business Incubation Center and how KBIC is providing a platform to transform business ideas into successful business ventures. Ms Amna Umer as president of OAKS played a vital role in supporting Kinnaird Business Incubation Center in achieving its goal to make women empowered, independent and successful business entrepreneurs. Ms. Kristin Hawkins interacted with the graduated Incubate from the Cohort -1. Ms. Hawkins commended the Cohort-1 for their remarkable efforts in revolutionizing the women in industrial sector in nation proactive strides have been instrumental in shaping a brighter and more promising future for progress in our country, leaving a profound and lasting impact on the entrepreneurial landscape. KBIC incubates also have showcased their prototypes and products to Ms. Kristin Hawkins.

International Partners of Kinnaird Business Incubation Centers; Bristol Community College USA and Sauk Valley Community College USA have visited Kinnaird College for Women (KCW), Lahore – Pakistan. Ms Michele Yvonne Murphy, Ms. Farah Habib, Ms. Stacie Charbonneau Hess, and Ms. Jennifer A. Puniello from Bristol Community College, Prof. Glenn S. Bodish, Dr. Amy N. Jakobsen, Ms. Janis A. Jones and Prof. Dr Paul R. Edleman from Sauk Valley Community College have interacted with the staff and incubates of Kinnaird Business Incubation Center. They admired the efforts of Team KBIC in empowering the women of Pakistan.

Director BIC, Mr. Syed Taimoor Hassan along with his team of Foundation University Islamabad (FUI) Visited Kinnaird ORIC and Business Incubation Center on 7th December 2023. Mr. Syed Taimoor Hassan is one of the best speakers and directors of the Business Incubation Centers in Pakistan. His ability and expertise always impact on BIC’s growth and success by driving impactful initiatives. He has been successfully providing guidance and support to the BICs of different universities as well as to the startups and students, addressing their concerns, offering career advice, and connecting them with helpful resources. During his visit, he had an interactive session with the BIC & ORIC Team of Kinnaird College for Women (KCW), Lahore – Pakistan, and the agenda was to share the best practices and working of BICs in Pakistan. He also has interacted with and appreciated the Incubates of KBIC for their active and valuable performance throughout the 1st Cohort, who will be graduating in December 2023.

On 21 November ,2023 Frederick Malik(Broker at Kingsway Real Estate Brokerage) with his team visited Kinnaird Business Incubation Centre at Kinnaird College for Women (KCW), Lahore – Pakistan. Prof. Dr. Rukhsana David, Principal of Kinnaird College, and Prof Dr. Ghazala Yaqub Head of Kinnaird Business Incubation Center welcomed them to Kinnaird Business Incubation Center. During their visit they appreciated working of startups. It was Interactive and motivational session for existing and upcoming cohorts that provided guidance on how students can transform idea into venture, women empowerment, basic business techniques and strategies related to entrepreneurship were discussed. Dr Alexander John Malik (Chairman Board of Governor) was also there.

on 9 October 2023 ,ORIC & BIC Team of the Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) visited the Kinnaird Business Incubation Center. They have interacted with Prof. Dr Ghazala Yaqub (heading ORIC and BIC Team) of Kinnaird College for Women (KCW), Lahore – Pakistan. The agenda was to share the current practices of ORIC & BIC and get consultancy about the steps to be taken in the future to make the BIC and ORIC successful.

With the generous support of the Higher Education Commission, Kinnaird Business Incubation Centre (KBIC) in Kinnaird College for Women (KCW), Lahore – Pakistan has been established and now welcoming Business Tycoons from the USA.
Mr. Tahir Javed, a Business Tycoon and politician from the USA, along with his team visited Kinnaird Business Incubation Center on 1st September 2023. He is a bridge between the USA and Pakistan. During his visit, he interacted with start-ups of KBIC and discussed the challenges of Industry from both the US and Pakistan’s perspectives.

BIC Team of LCW Visited Kinnaird Business Incubation Centre ON 29th AUG,2023 . The objective of the visit was to discuss the daily functions of KBIC and selection procedure of cohorts.

Vice chancellor Fatima Jinnah university Rawalpindi Dr Saima Hamid visited business incubation Centre at Kinnaird college Lahore on 28^th Aug,2023. During her visit she admired the efforts of principal Kinnaird collage Dr Rukhsana David, head research operations Prof Dr Ghazala Yaqub and her team regarding to business incubation Centre.

Prof. Dr. Mujaddad-ur -Rehman, Department of Botany/Biotechnology, Vice Chancellor Abbottabad University of Science and Technology Abbottabad, Pakistan, visited Kinnaird Business Incubation Centre at Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore on 25^th AUG,2023 . The focal Person of KBIC Dr. Ghazala Yaqub, and the Dean of Sciences Dr. Irum Anjum welcomed him to Kinnaird Business Incubation Center Lahore. During his visit, he admired the efforts of the KBIC Team and also expressed gratitude toward the initiative of HEC with the collaboration of HEI to establish a platform for young women entrepreneurs .

President Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Lahore (WCCI), Ms. Falahat Imran visited the Kinnaird Business Incubation Center at Kinnaird College for Women (KCW), Lahore – Pakistan. She has interacted with startups and shared different concerns about the industry and challenges of the industry with the entrepreneurs

With the generous support of Higher Education Commission Pakistan, Kinnaird Business Incubation Centre (KBIC) in Kinnaird College for Women (KCW), Lahore – Pakistan has been established and now working successfully towards providing support to researchers and young entrepreneurs who are interested in developing early-stage business ventures. A workshop on “Understanding the Role of Intellectual Property to promote innovation and Entrepreneurship has been conducted today on 12th July 2023. Chairperson of IPO, Mr. Farukh Amil along with his team Mr. Anjum Bukhari and Ms Shakra Khurshid has visited Kinnaird Business Incubation Center and delivered a talk on the Importance of Entrepreneurship for Women Innovators and discussed the IP-related challenges and the prospect to address these challenges. Furthermore, the Chairperson interacted with the startups of KBIC.IPO Pakistan is collaborating with national and international partners to strengthen the registration, management, and enforcement of intellectual property rights in order to attract trade and investment in Pakistan.

Principal of Kinnaird College Prof. Dr Rukhsana David, Head Research Operations, Prof Dr Ghazala Yaqub, Deans, and Manager KBIC welcomed our worthy Guests.
Deputy Commissioner Lahore, Ms. Rafia Haider admired this initiative and efforts of the Higher Education Commission Pakistan regarding the establishment of Business Incubation Centers (BIC) in HEIs of Pakistan. She added that Higher Education Commission   has taken such a great initiative to foster the entrepreneurial spirit among students to start their startups and create jobs that might help later to boost the economy of Pakistan
